I (Seth Fargher) recently had the opportunity to join Mark Williams of Digital Dirt magazine for a weekend in the desert riding Ocotillo Wells. Like most folks in southern California, I’ve been chomping at the bit for the cooler temps to arrive so I could head out to the desert and kick off the winter riding season. We received a call at Roll Design regarding a suspension upgrade to Elka’s for a young girl Raptor 250, who’s age will not be revealed as it may or may not conflict with the sticker on the bike. Her Dad wanted her to not only be able to hang with the other kids she rides against when they create their little race tracks at the dunes, but also to increase the safety factor. After a thrilling debut night in Round 9 here at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returned to do it all over again in Round 10. With another sellout, standing room only crowd enjoying great weather and a great atmosphere under the lights, the stage was set for another great night at the races, and the drivers didn’t disappoint.
